Atmosphere layers

here you have some useful pictures to understand the atmosphere and its layers. 

The atmosphere is a layer of gases around the Earth. We classify the Atmosphere in different layers depending on their characteristics. In this unit, we are learning about three of them:  Troposphere (where the weather occurs) , Stratosphere and Mesosphere

The Ozone layer protects us from the harmful sun rays. It is between the troposphere and the stratosphere.

we are learning about weather and climate. These pictures help us to understand the differences between these two similar concepts. 

THE WEATHER: The temperature, clouds, wind and precipitation in the atmosphere at any particular time.  Changes day to day. 

THE CLIMATE: The weather conditions in a particular place that occur during a very LONG period of time. Keeps equals during millions of years

PRESENTATION ABOUT SPAIN

Estimadas familias,

Los alumnos de segundo, siguiendo con nuestro afán investigador, vamos a realizar una presentación para nuestros compañeros. La idea es que investiguemos sobre un aspecto concreto y ayudemos a nuestros compañeros a aprenderlo.

El tema a tratar es España y su geografía. Es un tema muy amplio que da para escoger entre muchos subtemas. Podéis escoger cualquiera de los que os doy en la lista y ayudar a los chicos a realizar la presentación en el formato que decidan: cartulina, power point, redacción…

Aquí os facilito una lista de posibles temas: España y su división en Comunidades Autónomas, una Comunidad Autónoma en concreto (por ejemplo, Galicia: situación geográfica, costumbres, tradiciones, canciones, lengua…), los ríos de España, algún río en concreto, Cadenas montañosas, El Teide: montaña y volcán, parajes tales como lagunas, humedales…, mares y océanos españoles, situación geográfica de España….

La presentación ha de ser en inglés por lo que hay que simplificar el lenguaje para facilitar su comprensión. Una vez elijáis el tema con ellos, yo os facilitaré claves para prepararlo.
